Out of sight, out of mind may be good enough in keeping a room looking tidy but that’s surface detail. To help you find the products and accessories you need in your bathroom, you should organize your drawers.

So first get everything out and go through what you have, throwing away old and out of date products, and giving away the things you don’t need. Then take a look at what you are left with and think about the kinds of storage trays or dividers you could use in your bathroom drawer.

If you have a shallow drawer with a cut out for the sink pedestal, then you can put minimal items in your drawer. But bathroom essentials might be be all you need.

Put similar items together, for example, deodorants, face products, hair brushes etc. Then keep a little supply of towels and washcloths next to them. You might also want to store your cleaning products.

Then when you open the bathroom drawer you know just where everything is. And doesn’t that feel great?!

Clear Plastic Bathroom Drawer Dividers

Easily purchased from your local dollar store or online, drawers dividers are a modern godsend! We collect so much stuff, it’s good to be able to see exactly what there is when we open a drawer.

Organize like items together. If you have the pot or tray kind of divider, you can leave Q-tips and smaller items out of the box so they’re super easy to use. If you’re never usually organized, you’re going to love this. And feel so smug each time you open the drawer.

Wood Boxes to Organize Your Bathroom Drawer

If you like the high end look, even when it’s only you that sees it, then this idea will be perfect for you. You should look out for some shallow wood boxes you can fit in your bathroom drawer.

Put wood boxes in the drawer and then arrange beauty products and lotions and your other bathroom accouterments as you wish. The sense of satisfaction of these hidden aesthetics is surprising!

Plastic Trays As Drawer Dividers

Another dollar store tip is to get yourself some plastic baskets to fit inside your bathroom drawer. These look good and are easy to wash and keep clean so you can easily remove the likes of toothpaste residue.

You can find long, narrow baskets or trays which are ideal for storing makeup brushes and longer bathroom bottles and items. Smaller baskets can be for lipstick or hair ties.

Perhaps you have all your spa style bottles of luxury products displayed on shelves or around the tub so the main thing you need in your drawer is your fresh towels.

You can put washcloths and hand towels in the top drawer as well as any body brushes or exfoliators. Then stack your bath towels in a larger bottom drawer.

A tip from tidying guru Marie Kondo is to roll your towels in a way that means you can see all that you have at once without having to rummage. Genius!

If you have a cabinet with drawers inside, or cupboards then you’ll want to best utilize the space.

Any display space should be saved for your best, most decorative lotions and protons or other pretty bottles. And you can add interest by rolling towels and putting them in cubbies.

Then, inside, again categorize your items so you know where to find them. So face washing products together, then all your shower gels and body washes, then hair products, oils etc.

If you don’t have a vanity and you have a small bathroom then there are some fantastic small storage solutions.

You can get a freestanding drawer unit which you can find with cute woven or perhaps rattan baskets. These will look sophisticated in your bathroom and will be easy to organize using the tips above.
